You would not think that this is something that is popular, but the comic book section on Amazon is fairly comprehensive, with a lot of older and newer comic books that you can pick up. Amazon’s second hand comic books are an unusual collection ranging from Eros comics, to standard Marvel and DC, to anime and manga books as well as price guides.

You never know what you will find, and listing comic books is just as simple as listing anything else. You will find that the comic books listing are not comprehensive, so you might find annoying gaps when listing out a collection on line. Comic books range all over the sales rank map just like regular books, and prices range from one penny to several hundreds of dollars for rare or very collectable comic books.

What is interesting is that Amazon and Comic books are not synonymous, in many of the comic books, there is no sales rank, meaning that they have not sold in a while if at all at Amazon. You need to watch the sales rank for comics as much as you need to watch the sales rank for regular books as well. You might find yourself sitting on a pile of inventory that has not sold on Amazon, meaning you might be holding onto those comic books for a very long time.

Comic books are often something that is overlooked as a business outlet for book sellers, comic books aer not easy, and grading is something you have to be very careful about. Flaws can decrease the value of a comic book in a major way, so make sure you grade well and with a lot of caution.

Otherwise, this might be a great addition to your business line. Craigs list always has people selling their comic book collections under collectable or books, but also make sure you are getting a good deal. People often have an inflated idea of what these collections are worth, like 1000 comics for 6000 dollars, or 6 dollars each, when odds are highly likely that they are only worth 2.99 list each if you are luck y on Amazon (think more like 99 cents), but if you can pick up a collection of 2000 comics for 350 dollars that is much more viable as they are only 17.5 cents each.

It is a business line worth looking at, but you also have to look at pricing on Amazon. Pricing is crazy just like any other thing sold on Amazon. Make sure your bottom price, the cost of book, plus postage, plus Amazon fee’s means you can turn a profit. Some comic books are not worth carrying, many of them are.
