This is a PSA to help Comic Book Resources, Greg Hatcher and the after school comic book arts program around the Seattle area. There is a 20,000 dollar shortfall according to CBR for the Seattle Comic afterschool program, and they will be at Emerald City Comic Con. With that kind of short fall, they seriously need a little help to reach their goals, and that is where the Seattle comic book community comes into play.
If you are going to Emerald City Comic Con – then stop by tables M19 and M20 in Artists Ally and give the kids some support. We will be offing a special deep discount contract for the students if they want to get published to help make up the shortfall, as well as pulling out any other stops we can.
Afterschool arts programs have been shown to be very important to students and our kids, it would be a shame to have this program killed because of budget shortfalls. Get on out there and support the kids, it is so very important.
